Happy New Year’s Eve 2018! Episode #1 of The Nicole Holland Show

Happy New Year's Eve 2018!

I can't believe this day is finally here!

Honestly, it feels like this past year has flown by in the blink of an eye and all of a sudden it's a new year!

Have you been feeling like that too? I know so many others who are experiencing the same kind of thing right now…

2018 came in like a bear and it’s finally hibernating.

I don’t know, maybe it’s my age… or something in the cosmos — who knows?

But 2018 was certainly a year of personal and professional expansion for me, filled with a lot of miles traversed both physically and figuratively, a lot of laughter, and a lot of tears.

Big love to you and a virtual hug to you too for your 2018 journey. I promise it was worth it!

So now, we’re less than 24-hours from a new year and new projects and I’m so fired up about this new show, my new website, and my new personal branding where I’m putting more of myself front and center!

Whoa, it’s flippin’ scary but I’m here and I’m doing it. No turning back!

So my intention today is to share about what you can expect from the new show and how to get the most from it, but before I do that I just want to hang out in this raw and real place with you for a little bit and talk about moving forward even when things aren’t “ready”.

I cannot begin to tell you all of the hiccups, hurdles, and headaches that have happened in the months and weeks leading up to today, and frankly there’s no sense in it anyways because for one thing that would be a big downer — not what you tuned in for, and secondly it’s none of your business.

Suffice it to say there’ve been a lot!

In fact I am recording this right now at 4:17 in the morning on December 31st sitting on my sofa, just me and my mic on my laptop — no music, no fancy intro or outro or any of the things I’m supposed to have, because I’ve been waiting to see if my website would even be up or not in time for launch.

At time of recording, it’s still not so I’m hacking things together because as far as I’m concerned, the show must go on.

I’ve found in my own life and with countless people I’ve known and worked with over the years, when you think you’re ready to play a bigger game, all of the possible “problems” hit you between the eyes like a 10-pound sack of potatoes, pushing you to just give up.

I think about these fun — not so fun — little games as God’s way of checking in on me and asking if I’m REALLY ready to grow, or if I’d just rather stay comfortable where I’m at.

In my experience, this is where most people stop to either put things on hold or question themselves about if they should even be doing it. A lot of towels get thrown in here.

But that’s never been my style, as you’ll hear more about on tomorrow’s interview with me in the hotseat and my friend Jordan Harbinger guest hosting.

While I tend to hold myself to high standards — sometimes impossibly high actually, which I suspect you might be able to relate to too high-achiever — I also recognize that fear of letting people down, of embarrassing myself, or “looking bad” or unprofessional cannot dissuade me from going after my vision.

Do I like putting out content that represents me like an amateur? No, no I do not.

But… I’m willing to do it and I’m willing move through the fear because at the end of the day there’s a much bigger picture, and every thwarted effort and every short-term disaster is simply a blip along the way to getting there.

We can always go back and improve upon anything that weighs on us once we get through the struggle, but if we quit when we might be Three Feet From Gold… well… it’s just not something I’m willing to do because dreams don’t get realized in the comfort zone.

In order to truly expand into greater abundance, success, and consciousness we must be willing to get uncomfortable regularly and push past our upper limit. No excuses.

If you’re interested in exploring more about transcending your upper limit, I highly recommend getting your hands on The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks which is one of my favorite personal development books, I actually have it on Audible, and I’m really thrilled to share that the author, Gay Hendricks, will actually be joining us on the show next Wednesday, January 9th, to talk about how to eliminate negative thinking and stay in your zone of genius.

So warts and all I’m so excited to be here today launching the new show and I’m even more excited that YOU are here with me!

Alright, so let me tell you more about what you can expect on the show in the weeks and months to come…

This podcast airs every weekday, 52-weeks per year, and is designed to help high-achieving entrepreneurs and small business owners who identify as disruptors, innovators, change-makers, and thought leaders gain access to the very best strategies, people, resources, insight, and activities that will help them become more profitable, productive, impactful, and down-right happy in their business and life.

It’s a show for those who are highly self-motivated with can-do attitudes and big visions with the  knowingness that they WILL reach them!

Through candid conversations with some of the most inspiring, brilliant, and accomplished people on earth, plus my own two cents from time-to-time, it's my intention that you will find this show to be inspirational, educational, and sometimes even a little entertaining. That you will enjoy tuning in and sharing your own wisdom with the community.

Every Monday I'll be hanging out here sharing some sort of tip, lesson, strategy, or activity to help you get your message out to more of your ideal clients and customers.

On Tuesdays I’ll introduce you to inspiring individuals who openly share their personal journey stories of how they got to where they are today.

These are massively successful people who are generous by nature, fun to know, and super interesting. If you've been a listener of the Business Building Rockstars Show you'll recognize the style of interview, as it's exactly the same as it's always been. Unscripted, casual, and of course hugely valuable.

Wednesdays I am thrilled to bring you the Masterclass interviews!

If you ever attended one of my Business Building Rockstar Summits, you know what to expect… and if not, you’re in for a real treat!

The Wednesday masterclass episodes are interviews conducted with industry experts who have a proprietary framework, process, or system to teach which will take you through specific steps to help you reach a given outcome.

Every single week is a deep dive into topics that range from tactical business building, to strategy implementation, to personal fulfillment, and beyond.

Then on Thursdays you’ll meet the brains behind the solutions, usually software but not always, that help companies power up their proficiency with Resource Sharing episodes.

How many times have you heard all sorts of hype from the big names in your niche about how you’ve got to use X-brand shopping cart, or email provider, or webinar software, or whatnot — only to purchase and find out that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be?

Yeah, I’ve been there.

That’s why on Thursdays I bring the founders of these tech solutions on the show and have them answer who their solution is for, who it’s not for, and how it helps. Usually my guest will take us on a behind-the-scenes demo of their solution to show and tell the story. And more times than not, my guests are very generous with special offers for my audience members interested in purchasing their solution.

Fridays are sort of like an audio blog where I share an observation and discussion topic that I would love to engage with you about.

I’ve also got a newsletter which will be going out every Monday, starting next week, with a Roundup of what's been happening on the show and direct links to catch up on anything you missed. You can get on the list by signing up at TheNicoleHollandShow.com

And if you visit my homepage right now, you’ll find an unbelievable giveaway that’s just starting today to drum up awareness for the show and and frankly to have some good fun.

But I had no idea how huge my friends were going to show up for this!

This one single giveaway features over $7,000 in prizes from my friends over at Acuity Scheduling, LifterLMS, Simplero, SocialBee, MobilityWOD, plus there’s a little something special from me in there too.

It’s truly a prize package that can significantly change someone's life!

I'd love for you to check it out and enter to win. There’s no catch and heaps of opportunities for additional entries.

My hope is that this viral giveaway really reaches every entrepreneur and small-business owner that could benefit from it, and I sincerely appreciate your support in spreading the word.

Coming up this week on The Nicole Holland Show…

Tomorrow I’m super excited to have my friend Jordan Harbinger, formerly of the Art of Charm and now totally crushing it with The Jordan Harbinger Show, fill in for me as the my Guest Host while I take the hotseat as his guest for the new show’s first interview.

We’ll discuss my personal journey from deciding to say goodbye to a “secure” government job as a Correctional Officer that was making me physically, spiritually, and emotionally ill, to how I got the attention and support of industry leaders before I had any idea what the heck I was doing, to my decision to put an end to the Business Building Rockstars Show and launch The Nicole Holland Show instead.

Wednesday’s Masterclass expert is Mark Asquith of the Excellence-Expected podcast, and co-founder of Podcast Websites and he’ll be teaching us the what, why, and how of personal branding.Mark covers the biggest mistakes people make in personal branding, how to define the core goal of your personal brand and why this is so important for success, strategic tips for becoming the face of your brand and more.

Then on Thursday, Heil Sound’s Marketing and Creative Director, Michelle Levitt, shares how professional microphones help all of us to create better audio content, resulting in a more professional image.

In this episode we'll explore the “Proximity Effect” and what it means for your recordings, why there's no need to sound-proof your recording space when you choose the right microphone, why your audio could be keeping you from landing the interviews you want, and find out how you can get your very own Purple Heil PR77D for FREE, courtesy of Michelle and Heil Sound!

On Friday I’ll wrap up the week by sharing my thoughts on tracking the success of any marketing effort, and looking to you for your best tips on what and how you like to track.

Make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to take home the Big Business Building Bundle with over $7,000 worth of resources you need to run & scale your business in 2019.

Head over to TheNicoleHollandShow.com for all the deets right there on the home page, you can submit your entry right away and you’ll discover fun scavenger-hunt-types of ways you can get even more chances to win!
